Can you believe that we’re halfway through the year? That means the REDMAGIC 9 Pro just recently celebrated its half birthday, and it also means that more people have managed to add it to their gaming setup since its release. With that being said, it makes sense that you’ve got a ton of questions about the device, and we’re here to give you the answers.
Which REDMAGIC External Cooler Is the Best?
The cooling device that is best for you will be totally dependent on the REDMAGIC device that you’re using. If you have an older generation gaming smartphone, then one of the older external cooling devices like the REDMAGIC Ice Doc for the 6 Series should be sufficient. And it comes at a lower price than new models.
However, due to the CPU demands of newer devices like the REDMAGIC 8 or 9 series, we recommend that you use one of the newer coolers like the REDMAGIC Turbo Cooler Gen 4 or 4 Pro when gaming with REDMAGIC 8 series. For the even more demanding Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices, the latest REDMAGIC VC Cooler 5 Pro is an excellent choice. Please note that REDMAGIC external coolers are also compatible with other devices.
My REDMAGIC Device Is Fairly New and It’s Stopped Working, What Should I Do?
It really is unfortunate when your gaming smartphone or accessories stop working, either due to damage or just a fault with the device. Fortunately, smartphones and accessories purchased from any official REDMAGIC online store come with a 1 year limited warranty (except in the EU where it extends to 2 years) and a 6 month limited warranty respectively. Should you experience any issues with your device within the time period of the warranty, please don’t hesitate to use your warranty to get a replacement. Please read more about the warranty in the REDMAGIC Terms of Sales.
Is It Normal for the Device to Overheat While Playing Warzone Mobile?
“Normal” may not be the correct word to use, but an overheating device is definitely a common problem among Call of Duty Warzone Mobile players. Problems like this are why we put emphasis on improving the internal cooling system within every new REDMAGIC. While the internal cooling system in your REDMAGIC 9 Pro may not stop the device from experiencing high temperatures, it’ll help your phone maintain a stable internal temperature and continue to deliver the best possible performance. A review on Android Headlines highlights how the REDMAGIC 9 Pro’s performance remained at its peak even after long periods of time that’s to the internal cooling system.
An alternative fix for this particular problem is to attach one of those external cooling devices we spoke of earlier to prevent your battery from getting cooked.
What Is Your Experience With Network Carrier Compatibility In Different Regions?
Regardless of where you live, it’s important to ensure that your network carrier can provide your REDMAGIC device with reliable service before making a purchase. Online tools like Kimovil can help provide detailed compatibility reports beforehand, but there are instances of users still having problems with the network even after doing research. NoPresentation7518 on the REDMAGIC subreddit compiled a detailed breakdown of what you may expect from different network providers in different regions.
According to his findings, the REDMAGIC 9 Pro is compatible with major US carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, though there are some nuances. T-Mobile generally provides good 5G coverage in cities like NYC and LA. AT&T works with an already activated SIM but may face issues with new activations using the phone’s IMEI. Verizon compatibility is limited, as shown by issues with a Verizon SIM from Straight Talk, though a T-Mobile SIM worked fine.
In Europe, the REDMAGIC 9 Pro supports a wide range of network bands used in countries like Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK. Users should check the compatibility by comparing the phone’s supported bands with those used by local carriers, information typically available on carrier websites or through customer service.
Any Chance We’ll Get a REDMAGIC Smartwatch in the Near Future?
In March 2021 we gave the world the REDMAGIC Watch with a 1.39 inch AMOLED display and 16 different sports modes. It’s no longer available on our website thus making it hard to find, but REDMAGIC fans have been asking for a new generation REDMAGIC Watch. While we cannot confirm nor deny that a next generation wearable is on the way, we can tell you how it may be possible to get your hands on the exclusive watch in the next few weeks.
REDMAGIC has put together a neat gift set to celebrate graduation season. If you purchase a REDMAGIC 9 Pro with your student discount code during graduation week, you’ll get a mystery box with either an external cooling device, a Shadow Blade Gamepad, or the exclusive REDMAGIC smartwatch.
